Has anyone noticed that there are varying lengths of seat belt buckles on griff's. The one's fitted to mine are quite long and when belted up diggs you in the ribs, does anyone know where i can get some shorter one's from.

Some cars were fitted with a long one on the drivers side and a shorter one on the passenger side, probably due to the shorter footwell on the passenger side so the seat usually ends up further back in practice. The seat buckle should sit on the hip when fitted correctly, higher up could cause serius injury in a shunt.Standard belts on earlier cars anyway were of Britax manufacture.

Mines got one short and one long.

I bought some replacement belts a few years ago as one of mine was "locking" so I couldn't wear it alot of the time. I got complete sets from a TVRCC member who had fitted a harness.

I will have a look and see if I still have the bits and, if so, what lengths they are.

Well I've managed to get into the loft and have one short buckle left and one spare belt (probably passenger if they are different).

If you are still interested ashgreen' I'll check it still works and find out how much postage will be. I'll also measure it if you want to make sure it will be long enough for you.

Icamm,
Can you let us know what lengths the seat belt buckles are? It should be easy then to order one.

Sorry for the delay. The short buckle is 20cms. I haven't had chance to measure the long one yet but I would estimate it's about twice as long.

Will try and get to the postoffice tomorrow ashgreen

Thats OK, both the buckles fitted to my griff are 45cms long. So the 20cms will be great.

If you're looking for a home for a long one e-mail me. Sorry didn't mean for that to sound pornographic.

Sorry, I only had a short one spare. Not sure what has happened to the long one and if I ever find it I'll post.

Thanks icamm - I was thinking more of Ashgreengriff passing on his surplus long one as you were so kind to donate your short one. Hmmmm kinky.

Sorry, hadn't thought of that. Just let me change my brain from first to second gear.
