ACT Cherrybomb exhaust or too much?

good afternoon to you all, sorry to ask again!
last year i have fitted the s/s act manifolds and racingcats.
the set is awesome and sounds great just a little bit more raw on tickover and beyond 3500rpm al hell breakes loose and tunnels are the place to be!!
but...to complete the set (everything shiny s/s) a cherrybomb exhaust from act is tempting but is it too much in combination with the manifolds etc.?
i've been thinking long about this and was wondering what you think??
i know it is never enough with these cars haha!
yr opinion would be great to see, many thanks.

Here is a video of my Griffith with no cat, ACT manifolds and ACT cherrybomb exhaust...You decide if this is ok or too much (I think it's oklast year i have fitted the s/s act manifolds and racingcats.

on my car probably a little bit less due to the twin cats when i decide to go for the cherrybomb exhaust.
is it also ok on the long trips with the roof down?

On long trips I don't know but I traveled twice from southern Italy to northern Spain (where I live now), 1.750 miles each trip with no prob, but that was with stock mufflers...

i'll go for the exhaust, also for the fact everything is nice and shiny in total!!
initially i was thinking maybe it is too loud in total with tickover at the traffic lights but it is ok when i watch yr film.
in holland the boys in blue / our best friends you know what i mean are not so keen on sound (natural environmental issue's, sound disturbance, al gore etc.) and you can get big fines for too much noise at tickover (above 100db)??
i know our cars are not standard so everything is difficult to check etc. so you can get away with small issue's so i'll go for it thanks!
btw how's yr car doing, i've read something about a montignac diet plan??

Here is my car with the prototype Cherrybomb exhaust, with the Sports Manifolds, tripple plenum etc.

It may give you another perspective, as well as the in car one.
I've done 6 hour trips in my car with no problems. I find it less strenuous than driving my still Catted Elise.

yr car sounds great, i really love the deep v8 tune a lot!
i also thought about the sleeving option but then things would be
too loud i think and the sound is also different more raw metal clatter not so deep as the cherrybomb is it?
still have the two racing cats though to keep everything not too...

hello lordgrover, thanks for yr in-direct reply, yr absolutely right about the pre-cats they have an unique sound better than the friendly 500's haha!!??
in holland we don't have original pre-cat griffs (lhd ones), only wedges which are true pre-cats in holland and they sound so much havier / deeper!
maybe i've bought the wrong car haha, but it's an honour to imitate the sound a bit to be honest.

slight misunderstandig, it is better talk in the flesh tough but that's the problem with forums, direct talking about the cars on a meeting is easier.

Took a while to download this, in the jungles of West Africa, but boy was it worth the wait. This definitely does not sound like my 500 with sports exhaust (at least if I can remember what it sounds like after 10 months), it's got a more edgy, raw sound to it. Me LIKE!Onno

was thinking for about a year or so about this particular exhaust and i must say; i'm also hooked.

TBF, it's always going to sound great - precats sound so much more soulful than the eco-green 500s.
I have a tendancy to do that as well, as I only manage to gett he car out of the garage once a month at the moment TBF, it's always going to sound great - precats sound so much more soulful than the eco-green 500s.
I think a lot of the rasp comes from it being a smaller capacity and the V8 Development heads. But it's always fun! Maybe I'll get it out soon.
Mischa, the ACT exhaust is very good. You can crusie at a nice volume and it's really screams when you open it up. I find that the sleeved exhausts are a bit agricultural at idle and the low revs, for my tastes. Although the sounds are different for the different displacements.
