. To scared to prize or bash them in case I break owt. Any tips please?Undo the 10mm nut from the bottom of the clamp completely and remove. If they've been on for a while they'll tend to stick onto the flanges. A light tap with a hammer will usually shift them. Lightly from the side, or use a large flat screwdriver aimed where the bracket meets the flange, again gently. They will tend to 'pop' off and release the pressure.
When you're putting them back on, make sure the flanges are lined up, the brackets are not strong enough to pull in significant differences, you'll need to help them by getting the alignment right. I always smear grease inside the runner of the bracket to help them seat better and seal.
When you're doing them up, go round them with a light hammer tapping them to help them sit down, do not rely on the bolt to take up the slack, you'll break the bolt before you do.
Also consider where you want the bolts to end up, otherwise they can be a real hazard in the engine bay when working on other stuff catching arms etc etc

Yep, as Johno says, give 'em a bit of a tap with a hamer (wooden mallet preferred). The clamps wedge the two halves of the joint together, so they are liable to stick a bit when you undo them.
When you re-assemble, you might need a bit of sealant on the two joints. I didnt bother with mine and now it leaks black liquid goo from the passenger side joint when I first start up (water from the exhaust when its cold). Really great on a newly painted chassis crossmember.
