iPhone Mounting / Location Suggestions

Afternoon chaps,

After reading about James' iPod install in his Chim Click I recently purchased a second hand DEH-P77MP head unit for my Griff and am looking to connect my iPhone.

The difference is that I will not be using the iPod Pioneer interface I am going to use the line out from the iPhone's dock connector to connect to the head unit line in. The following lead will allow the iPhone to be charged as well Click

I need to route the dock connector to a location in the cabin where the iPhone will reside. Does anyone have any suggestions on where i could put the iPhone inside the cabin? It needs to be easily accessible and / or viewable while driving as it will be used to control the car stereo. I had a look last week and there seems to be no space in the doors or around the transmission tunnel. The only thing I could think of was getting a matching leather pouch sewn onto the inside of the transmission tunnel on the drivers side as low as possible but thiss seems overkill for what should be a simple problem.

Clare just holds my Ipod while I drive. Problem solved!

You may have a problem.
If you can hear the phone or wireless with the engine running you want to get it looked at.

Apologies for advertising (it's not my company!!), but for the price (under £82) and the practicality, it seems pretty good:

Just seems to solve the problem quickly and neatly, trouble is you lose the ability to play CDs - but I seem to drive round with the same CD for months on end...
