Rover Cover "stump"

TITLE SHOULD HAVE READ "ROCKER COVER" - Doh !

I'm just refurb'ing my rocker covers and wondered if it was possible to take off the "stump" that the small black vent sits on top of (see below) so that I can sand the top easier. I don't want to force it and -up the rocker cover if it isn't meant to come off.

It's push fit. Penetrating oil over night and a pair of swan necks to gently turn and then you can tap through from inside if needed, although I can't remember whether you'll need to remove splash plate to get to underside.

Don't buy off RPi on Ebay for £25, available for a lot less . .

If anyone is interested I have a plenum side rocker cover as above that has the badge recess next to the filler cap not stuck under the plenum, I was going to stick it on ebay.
I have two of them, one set is a pair of rocker covers and the other is plenum side only.

Did you use the VHT paint? Finish wise it looks as though you did. It'll look good when the raised portions are rubbed back; it's tough going though.
