On some they go right through. I changed mine for the earlier cast TVR types and have put the screws back into the holes. Otherwise you'll need to bung them with liquid metal or more ideally welding, that way nothing will drop out and into you engine . .
Can I ask why you're ditching the clips ? Have you ditched the dizzy, if not I always found them reasonably well placed even using 8mm leads they would hold them. You probably need other lead clamps as well and I make up my leads using Moroso ones rather than getting ripped off for Magnecor ones that never seemed to fit and always seemed to fail quicker than any other lead . .

I just find them a bit unsightly (not that you can actually see much of them)....but I think I might put them back in anyway.Can I ask why you're ditching the clips ?
