Did TVR apply any logic??? (probably not)

There might be a really good reason for this....or may be not.
On the RV8, you get the oil filler on the right and the breather on the left (thats looking at it from the front which I know it technically wrong). Any reason why?
I'm asking because the breather hose from the rocker cover to the plenum stretches right across the front of the engine when it seems unnecessary. The only reason I could think of was that may be the length of the pipe was important for some reason.
Any clever people out there have an answer?

It's so the breathing goes across the block diagonally.. I don't know what you mean by the oil filter, can only assume you mean breather & flame trap.
Oil FILLER (the screw on cap).Yes, what I meant was the flame trap on the left and the filler cap on the right. But obviously not possible anyway.
It's a one way system, the plenum sucks air and pulls it all the way from the BREATHER through the engine and out of the FLAME trap.
Keeping the crankcase under suction prevents oil leaks, ensures any horrid acidic things are sucked out, as well as running the crank under vacuum gives a bit more oomph

cheers SPEND - I'll leave it alone then Keeping the crankcase under suction prevents oil leaks, ensures any horrid acidic things are sucked out, as well as running the crank under vacuum gives a bit more oomph
