anyone had an excessive drinker, i mean a tankfull in 60 miles or so. had the problem before nad changing the air flow meter solved it then had to change the fuel pressure regulator and now its happened again, luckily its in the garage anyway and hopefully get solved this time, just wondering what people here make of it

not a leak, all the fuel lines are new and been checked today it was pissing out the exaust though before it died
perthshiregriff said:cant say im surprised at that!did you look at the plugs to identify a cyl in particular?if one was duff only, then id be thinking fuel injector stuck open.if they all look similar then maybe the ecu or tune resistor has packed up.this is assuming all the other parts replaced are still ok.
it was pissing out the exaust though before it died
i haven't seen the car for weeks other than to take a set of keys into the garage as the immobilizer wasn't working. it just happened when the mechanic was taking the car to the bodyshop for its final polish after body repairs that it packed up, think he's a bit cheesed off as he now has to get it back to his garage again to sort it out for the third time
