Ignition Timing set wrong?

After having ignition timing set recently i have noticed that the main cat (no pre-cats fitted) started glowing cherry red so is obviously getting very hot, i have had some over-fueling probs aswell (now cured), could it be loads of crap in the manifolds or do you think timing is too far advanced? Any ideas anyone?

If it's only the dustbin glowing and not the headers I'd say you've fooked the cat (& as a dog lover.. very well done )

Did the spark plug clean, cure the misfire mate?

I really hope so, cos I'm looking forward to a good play on Friday. My last MSE T/D surprised a few seasoned trackday goers, especially some guy with a bike engined Spire/Radical thing that couldn't keep with me on the straights .
Hows this for a dis...he came upto me in the paddock after and said "That thing is aff'n fast!....in a straight line )...cheaky git! I really wish i could get this damn car to run long enough to sort the new suspension out before going home on a trailer
