Difference between a 500 and 500HC

I note on my pelenium "500HC" but no mention in the Log book or original service book. What is the difference between the two in terms of service parts etc and how would I find out what I actually have?

As far as I know all the 500's were HC

Yeah - they're the same. Just stands for High Compression IIRC, which all 500's are.

HC = High Lift Cam

My Feb 96 Griff had "HC" on the Plenum , but the Mauve Rocker Covers . Never had it Dynod , but it was decatted and i never came up against Anything to touch it in the fairly short time i owned her . I had an Orig 98 Red/White Ohlins Equiped R-1 at the time , and i must admit that next to her the Griff felt slow!
