Diff CV bolts torques

Anyone know if the cap head bolts have a torque setting ??? otherwise ill do it to FT setting.

And use loctite if you don't want the drive shaft to fall off while you're driving. Though the noise you get when 4 bolts have fallen out and the last two just snap is quite entertaining.

Cheers for that Q !, Is the loctite a precaution ?, i theory if they are torqued with spring washers it should not be going anywhere !

They're silly 12.9 cap head bolts aren't they? If they are then they need loctite. If they're not then I'd use it anyway. When I replaced the CV joints on my S I didn't use any, did them up to FT and then the bolts came loose and a drive shaft fell off.

I don't like Loctite personally and only use it very occasionally. Do em up properly and I've had no issues with my S or the Griffith in 10's of thousands of miles.

Make sure the cap heads are cleaned out before you attack them and you can get full penetration into them (oooeeerrr) and that the threads are cleaned as well.
