Ok cars back on road as of today and MOT picked up weeping Shocks and a few other minors, so figure its time i lavished some TLC on the beast! so i'm throwing it out there,What would you do with £2,500 to spend on a standard car with the exception of some shocks, hoses and suspension mods??
Thanks for the input in advance!
A TOP 5 Mod list format would be interesting!

Depends what you want out of the car. I'd look at something like:

Brake upgrade, aftermarket ECU, wild cam, delete precats, big throttle body of some description & some tuning. It's tight on the £2k5 budget, but not impossible.

Some decent shocks (Bilsteins Rule) if you havnt already changed them , mine werent leaking , just worn internally after nearly 50k miles And the improvement was VERY noticeable,( I used to work for Monroe) also changeing the Only slightly worn front discs with std ones , vastly improved the brakeing . Replacement ball joints also made a significant difference.

Leave the car as it is, for the time being.

Apply for a non race national B licence, get yourself a Race suit, Helmet and Gloves. Bolt a timing strut on and enter a few Sprints or Hillclimbs.

After just a few events you will have had lots of fun and know exactly what mods to start thinking about.

A 12 000 mile service. Then smooth induction hoses, braided brake hoses and fast road pads. A geo set up after the new shocks are installed. An ECU re-map and some rolling road time. It will get the best out of what you have already - it makes a big difference to the way the car drives and you might see a little bit of change out of your money.

What he said.

I'd add a couple of tuition sessions, too. And not just the 20 minutes at a track day.

similar to what beens said already, invest some money in the driver, have a full day or two with someone like ridedrive so you`ll learn to get the most out of the car first.

Nitrons

Bigger brakes

Induction mods also remove the cats

Wilder cam

All of which will give you the best value for money at £2.5

All IMHO
