More gearbox woes....

Having initially had a problem selecting 2nd (turned out was the non exsisting syncro) the gearbox was refurbed under warranty and refitted along with a new clutch. On initial collection the gear change seemed stiff so I left the car there to have the linkage adjusted along with them having to replace the bushes. Now having waited 2 weeks and finally picking her up, I drove home pleased that the box was feeling so slick and fresh.

However, on backing into my drive, reverse gear will not engage without a big crunch. Even went selecting a gear frist as I was advised, still not possible without a loud crunch. It was never like that before so I can only assume it is something that has happened interally at the refurb? It is a 94 LT-77 box, surely this cant be right? I just wanted to make sure it wasnt me before I ring to complain!

I think if you had to leave it there for 2 weeks for them not doing it right in the first place. You have every right to complain again. Give them hell. If you can prove it does it and it does it everytime. They can not refuse to look at it.

Both my LT77s have struggled into reverse unless I select another gear while stationary beforehand.

While totally stationary even if I select another gear just won't go in cleanly, it wasn't like that before which is why I am surely its not the operator!
