New battery box question

No photos yet, I will write this up for you shortly I promise, but I need your ideas please.
The battery box is being replaced with a new shiny ali box for my new smaller battery.
As you will all know, the old GRP box has captive nuts in the bottom and you bolt it to the floor from underneath.
As my new box is Aluminium I can only think of using Rivnuts to mimic the mounting method.
Do you have any other ideas?
Also, the bracket that holds the battery to the box is similar to this
But home made and with just a single lug on each side (although that can change to be the same as the picture if you think its not enough).
How would you attach this bracket to the box?
I'd like to be able to remove this bracket - and then the battery - without having to remove the entire box, but I can't weld a steel bolt to the ali box.
Would a countersunk headed bold similar to the one holding on the steering wheel be strong enough if I glued it in from the back?
The box is made from high quality 4mm aluminium checker plate. Could this be tapped or is it too soft?

Bolt it to the floor, but give the new box a false bottom or what I intended was to line the box with high density foam to help with vibration, then you just need to mount the over lap bracket on a cabinet hinge fixed using rivets.
To fix the overlap bracket I'd find some sort of catch, rubber stretch catch thing fixed to the back of the box.
That way the front half of the new box including overlap bracket thing can be dropped forward to allow easy access to the battery for removal/terminal access etc and you don't need to undo the floor bolts to remove the battery.

I should have mentioned, there is no front to the new battery box.
Imagine the old box with the front cut off, and the battery bracket attached to the back wall of the box which is against the bulkhead.
This means I should have easy access to whatever attaches the bracket to the box, so the box itself will probably never need to be removed.
