How many miles per annum do you do?

and a supplemantary question, which i know you may ridicule me for, but what mpg do get?

and would/do you rely on it for commuting?

The background is, I do about 12-14k/yr, and I'm considering flogging the diesel BMW and buying a Griffith plus a 4WD/eco-hack. I would probably be unhappy with this arrangement if found myself driving the hack all the time - i'd want to take the Griff most days in the summer, i think, so at least 7-8k/year

In the Griffith about 2,000. Total annual mileage in all vehicles is 45,000. MPG - never checked but I could, that's could, get 27 in my previous Chimeara 400.

In my first year of owner ship I done about 8k, in subseqent years between 3 - 5k/ year.

I know people who use them all year round, and provided they are mainatained well they don't have many issues. You've got to remember they are an old car now so there will be problems of associated with parts wearing out. Mines 18 years old now (March 92).

As for economy expect any from 6mpg to around 24mpg depending on how you drive it

That is exactly what I did. I had a Honda S2000 which I used to do around 12k/year in. I now have a Griff and a sub 1k eco-hack. Yes I do spend most of my time in the hack but that doesn't matter becasue I know I have a Griff parked at home. I drive the Griff at least once a week but the milage is kept fairly low.

I do around 6k a year in the Griff (so one service a year) and the same in the Sag (bad weather car)

Oh, I fill up either once a week, low 20's mpg

USed to do around 12k PA in my TVR S3, then around 6-7k in the Griff. These days, 2k ish in the Elise, and 1.5k in the Griff?
