Spark plug extenders

Someone mentioned to me the other day after peering under the bonnet of my Griff 500 that they thought the spark plugs should have the metal spark plug extenders so that the HT leads are further from the exhaust headers.

I think they are off a Cavalier.

Do people use them/recommend them ?

That's what I have and I haven't had any issues.
