Valve seating

I've looked at a few qoutes on engine refresh/upgrades.....

what do I gain from 3 cut valve seating...

are you implying I've already got it ????? ... sorry new venture in to engine, again all new to me... I just drive the car and love it

The car is for a total engine refresh.... and was looking at "sensible ???" upgrades...

one of the qoutes I got listed this, but another didn't so either one is taking the piss, or the other is waiting for me to ask for it, or know other wise

I'm adding a baffled sump as I always seem to get the oil light on when chucking it about... and i don't take it near track , and a plenum spacer (not 100% sold on this butthough why not as its not a major expense)

what would be considerd sensible whilst the engine is out

Yes you will have nicely angled seat profiles and probably even hand blended into the throats (I've only inspected 2 sets of 430 heads cleaned up so you can see).

IMHO unless you get BV's put in they only need cleaning up, valves lapping and port matching to in/ex manifolds. Do not let folks 'lose' your seats or skim off your o-rings..

Check folks quoting for work know what your heads are like and question any changes they will make before you let them near your little gems

Quinny there is strong opnion above you are taliking bks....... but like with mos PH post i'll take with a pinch of salt lol....
