I am sure Nitrons are a top quality Damper.
If I had about a grand that I didn't need, I may buy a set.
But.
They are definitely not a necessity for a fast road car.
I use Pro-Techs and heavier springs and there is never a handling issue as they are properly set up.
I do a lot of track days and my set up is excellent.
I never use the same set up for the track as the for road, I believe this is where some people get it wrong having there car set up with too much damping making it jittery on the road.
A little time experimenting with the adjustments is time well spent.
If your car is bottoming out Simon, you need stiffer springs.
Mine used to so I changed to + 20% as recommended by Trackcar and the problem was solved!

I disagree, the standard springs are very soft.
If you adjust the damping to a harder setting with standard springs, it may not bottom out, (slow down the travel speed), but the ride will suffer.
Fitting slightly heavier springs allow you to still use a comfortable damping rate but the springs will compress less, no bottoming!

Has anyone used the (Nitron) Racing Reds? They are the same price as the Gaz units.
I heard they had some problems with early production units, but hopefully sorted now..
TIA - Simon

He still lists Racing Reds. I change from AVOs to RR's. Highly recommended.
