Wanted to say thanks for the help with the issues on hazzards and battery problems, the hazzards was the alarm with a dead siren all ok after reset and the flat battery was the 100amp fuse on the chassis looked like it had blown up with a big hole and both cables hangling loose!
Was very rushed including new dash as buttons had fallen out and several other issues, only got steering wheel back on (upside down by mistake) 5 mins before test but got a green sheet and a pass so Thnanks guys.
Wanted to ask a quick one, anyone had to realign a door? ds is nearly a cm out at the roof outside corner (hence all the water damage from last owner), and 3-4mm out at bottom corner, but flush half way at catch point which makes no sence to me, should it not be out top or bottom? Anyway how the hell do you get at the bolts to adjust it? Can't realy risk going out if it rains an poors in again.

which door is it that you want to adjust?
the drivers door is easy compared to the passenger one.
If you look on the inside of the car down near the front pillar, pull off the door seal, then remove the carpet, you will fint some holes in the fibreglass, within these are the bolts for the door hinges, 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom.
the nuts are welded on the outside, so you only need to slacken off on the inside to adjust the door, just a couple of turns should do it, you don`t want the door dropping onto the floor!
I found the best way is to slacken off the bolts a little, then remove the roof, and fold down the rear targa, shut the door, then lay down in the car with your feet over the back of the seat and tighten up the hinge bolts.
If the door still drops a little on its own weight due to a bit of wear in the hinges, you can compensate for this by raising the door catch slightly, close door, tighten hinge bolts, then lower the door catch to suit, it will take a bit of trial and error, but do-able.
the passenger side is a real pain, as access to the top 2 hinge bolts is restricted by the water pipes and general heater junk.

Cheers Clive, it is drivers so that helps, I will give it a try, not had roof down yet as one of the pins in the alloy arms is broken so will try and find a new one at same time.
