Help - difficult parts to source . . .

The f
king useless twunts at my usually fantastic powder coaters locally have lost 2 parts, of course these are parts no other fecker has . . . I've tried Bell Hill, Douglas Valley, Clever Trevor etc etc . ..
The boot lock mechanism is mounted using 2 shaped metal plates which then bolt to the rear end of the boot. They've lost both plates . . .
Without them, I've no way of completing the re-build of the rear end as I can't shut the boot !
Anyone have a some (yeah right !)
Know of anyone breaking a 500 (Unlikely)
An alternative source (possibility)
Otherwise I'm going to need to get some made up .. . . So then I'll need to boorow someone elses to get a pattern done . . . What a royal PIA.

No its the bracket itself, mechanism is readily available as you say . . . unfortunately that's not the part I need 
Make a cardboard one to dim it and give it to a plater, it's only a guillotine cut, one bend and three holes, should be cheap as chips.

Fair play to Racing Green today who dug through the archives, looked at the photo's, dug around on the shelves and rustled up one of the 2 bits, the easier of the two to get made, but good on em for the effort. One piece to find . ..

I've a piece of 4mm (or it could be 6mm) plate in the garage, plenty of doo-dahs for creating mucho heat, a big feck off vice and a selection of hammers if you think I could make one Johno.
I'd rather not go yanking off all my new boot carpet to measure it though, so if anyone can give me some measurements I'd be willing to have a go.

Ian, I'd evidently really appreciate you making up a pattern for me after taking yours apart, it's only you or Simon that I can really ask to do it for me. The Chimaera in the garage is not the same . . .

The real knightmare starts tomorrow. Described as stunning, gorgeous and and absolutely lovely . . . In a covered trailer, in deepest darkest Norfolk Nigella will be rolled onto the new car ramps and I get my first chance to lay my eyes on the finished paint work
The knightmare being working on putting her back together with immaculate fresh virgin paint and making sure the re-assembly does the fine work of Chris Browns bodyshop . . .

How does all this attach to the car?
It looks like 2 plates, top one for the lock mechanism to sit on, bottom attaches to the car via a nut and bolt.
Does the top plate attach to the car too - the one with the kink in it?
What is the measurement between the catch bolts?
Thats all I have as a reference but given that I'll see what I can get done.
Give me a ring mate on my work mobile (on the bottom of my emails). I have a meeting 10:30-11:30 so avoid then though
