Lumbar Support Pump

I've got a lumbar support thingy in my drivers seat which is pumped up using a rubber pump (a bit like a blood pressure test). However, the pump is broke and I want to replace it .I hate having things that don't work.....even if I never use them.

Does anybody know where these came from? I have heard Ford Granada.

I have them on mine too, as do most Cerbs (same seats as the SE). Trying to find a damaged Cerb at a breakers may be an option, no idea what they are from originally though sorry.

quiet a lot of top Fords had these, Sapphire cossie, Granada scorpios, escort cossie, if you buying new, from ford go through add on piston heads use their reg No and phone fords parts dept...

Having had the seat apart . . . they are a very basic unit.. . Mine goes down slowly, but over a long drive. .

It's essentially 2 sheets of rubber mat, cemented at the edges with a rubber bung for the tubing. Then glued to the back of the seat foam . . . that's it.

On the Cerb style seats really easy to access and change, not sure on the std seats though.

I managed to find a new one (the whole thing) for about £30 so might go with that. I was just hoping I could pop down to the breakers and get one for a quid of something else. I guess I shouldn't be so tight
