Try Hagertys..............you will be considered such a risk and you will be refused insurance...........:-)
Actually Hagerty's have generally jsut stopped insuring TVRs under 20 years old. I've been with them for years, since I was 25 or something like that. Never over £300.Quinny said:

Do you get extra discount because a thief would not only have to break into the garage, but have to get it down off the ramp as well?
Funny enough....When I go away I put the car up in the air, and then have a little secret way of disabling the pump on the ramp...
The lift has to go up, a few inches before it can come down
So a thief would be knackard anyway, unless he could figure out what I'd done

£232.95....... Its a bloody outrage

I was with Hagerty for my S2 but have now gone to Mannings because Hagerty would not insure the Griff (or any other TVR built after 1980 iirc)
Like many others ive been with Hagerty for the last few years, and very happy with them too,but as they have decided to not insure post 1980 ive had to look around and have found prices are a lot more with other brokers,Mannings who i thought would be the logical choice as they use the same underwriter as Hagerty were over £150 more than my previous premium, likewise a few others i tried..... eventually classic line quoted at a sensible price and ive gone with them at a smidge over £300 quid which is slightly more than with Hagerty.
