Price to re-veneer the dash

Guys,

I'm on a roll getting things done here so hope you can help me.
Is £208 + vat (£244.40) a good price for just the dash - ie. not the heater panel.

I hope thats a fitted price, otherwise seems dear i think, but ive never bought one anyway....so what do i know...lol

Try James at TVR-MADS I got mine from him great quality and both parts were IIRC £200 plus vat and thats for complete new panels not your old one re'veneered.

Thanks Chris52, I'll give James a ring in the morning. Its a bit late now.

The price above is for me to send in the metal backing plate of the dash only and have it re-veneered. I have a pre-cat and therefore the heater panel is perspex not veneered.

My dash was perfect at Chatsworth, but after putting in under its cover and tucking it up in the garage for 8 days, when I took it out the wood had all gone a cloudy yellowy colour.
I spoke to my local veneer'er and they said it was likely wax that had become trapped between the layers of lacquer and over time had degraded. I think he said it was called blooming. Anyway he said he would need the dash out and would have to take the lacquer and veneer off and re do it. He quoted about £180 and 2 weeks to complete the work.
I haven't had any second opinions yet and so long as the sun keeps shining will add it to the winter hit list of jobs!
Anyone know how much a replacement is?

Barreti - Normally do it for £110, but special £108 price for you, plus £20 postage/packing/insurance to return it to you. £150.40 inc VAT, need 7-10 working days turn around, once you've sent me your dash.

quattrophenia - £180, plus the £20, so £235 inc VAT. In stock, so as you strip your old dash out, you can put the clocks/leds straight onto the new dash and radio panel. I've not come across the clouding problem, but I think I'd guarantee mine against that happening. I'm at the Wonderland Show on the Sunday if you want me to bring one along and save you the postage.

Who was it who put some additional fixings in at the same time to cure dash flex? Have you considered it?
