Well trailered the Griff up the night before and stayed close to circuit and thank god i did!!! Morning started really well with no hassle and amazingly no silencers needed, whent out for three siteing laps followed by two loose laps, could not wipe the grin of my face as the car was handling like a dream with the triple 8's griping like glue and my young nephew from the states was loving it even more than me as was track virgin.
Second session started and thats when it all went wrong, first i get told in the pits i cannot run my HD Pro camera even though its not on a suction cup [Bummer],then after two blissfull laps playing with a fire breathing cerbara, all of a sudden no oil pressure and oil warning light on followed by strange rumblings from the engine, f...!!! I coast round to the pits and check the car out with Warren from Topcats{thanks Warren}General concensus being oil pump failure! One minute your on top of the world next your dragging your jaw. Its not the end of the world as Topcats are droping an LS3 in, downside not till September so i guess its sump of and see just where i'm at
Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone who helped and made it such a good morning.
Only concellation was the heavens opening as i got her on the trailer.
We will be back bigger and better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S Took 5 hours to get home and trailer wheel bearing went 40 miles from home!
What is it they say about when it rains it pours.

sticky tyres + std TVR sump = oil surge

Fit a baffled sump & the risks are significantly reduced.

Hi Christian
Sorry to hear about this,
could be the oil pressure releif valve...the "rumblings" bit sounds bad. like big end bad. Shells if you're lucky.
300+bhp / R888 = GpA baffled sump
350+bhp / R888 = Drysump or accusump

fact of life dude, ya go faster, the oil stays up in the rockers!!!

catch you next time
Andy

can a baffled sump be fitted without removing the engine in a 500?
