What size are the heater hoses

Guys,

I've got a leak around the H in the heater pipes in the passenger footwell.
I've tightened the jubilee clips until I can't tighten them any more and just can't get it to seal. So I'm thinking of pulling it apart, replacing the H and putting it together with Blue Hylomar.

Does anybody know the bore of the heater pipes so I can pre-make make a new H out of copper and minimise the messing about.

Oh, if anyone has done anything a bit different with these pipes I'd be very interested to hear from you.

I know Nige Hilton (Hiltonig) is replacing his after a convo we had tonight, might be worth pm'ing him as his is all in bits at the mo

Ok the hoses are stamped 15mm and made by Gates, what was depressing is that the heater pipe ends in the passenger compartment are all corroded !!, I have had the swirl pot corrode and the expansion tank !!! anyone make a replacement for the heater pipes ?? i have ordered a set of stainless ones for the engine area.

Also Rob good call on changing them as the back hose had telltale signs of a split starting !

I wouldn't trust that all the pipe stubs / joiners are the same diameters Make your own measurements, it's not like the hose will be hard to find even if there are mixed imperial & metric sizes?

Even the pipe stubs at the rear of the manifold (pre-serp) are different dias IIRC!

Thanks for all the info guys.

Its ruddy typical though with these cars isn't it, you can't trust that any two are the same so I'll have to pull it apart and check.
