Pre-cat starter motor

Hi there, I think I need a new starter motor for my 4.3 pre-cat - has anyone got the correct part numbers for this application - searching the internet there seem to be lots of variations for the Rover V8 and its not a job I want to do too often

Here are the details from my starter. Its also a 4.3.

There's no fitting difference between all the recent LR RV8's, just look out for the very early SD1 versions that have the solenoid underneath instead of the outside IIRC. Just select your manufacturer of choice IYSWIM..

I changed one on my old Wedge a couple of years ago and the replacement (late Range Rover) was half the size and a quarter of the weight of the boat anchor that came off

It also had a better sound

Any RV8 will fit, as has been said SD1 has different solenoid position.
