Adjusting serp drive belt

Unfortunateely I need to remove the drive belt and have left the bible in work. Any links or help available so I can get it off tonight please? Many thanks

Easy, use the correct size spanner on the pin in the centre of the tension wheel(15mm I think,but stand to be corrected), ease the wheel toward the centre of the engine and remove belt.

Make a note of the belt run first. Then pop your new one ,reversing the instructions...

Thanks Ant - bear with me if you would this might be difficult to explain. I have found what looks to be the tensioner (having dissmissed aircon, alternator, p/s, waterpump and crank its all thats left!), 15mm nut, undone it but it is solid - is it meant to turn? You say move towards centre but that would only tighten it so I have to move it away from centre towards the air con - how much force do I need - this feels siezed or not elongated?

No, the nut should not undo, but merely let you lever the tensioner toward the centre of the engine....

Thanks Ant, just me being a complete tosser. Job done, problem identified and belt back on - piece of p**s really!!
