Anyone tried this Starter Motor?

Dear all,

My starter motor has given up the ghost and I was wondering about fitting one of these.

Has anyone fitted one and if so are they a straight replacement with no mods to the engine?

Check Powerlite starter motor same spec straight swop but I think are cheaper.

I bought one....... and took it back.

You cant get one of the bolts in (or at least not without a lot of hassle)

Thanks Guys, looks wise to avoid it as I want an easy swap. Where did you get the Powerlite?

MG Owners club would have one as it's the same as the MGV8 - checking the piowerliet website the MG V8 uses the same one ... checking a little further the website also lists several dealers in powerlite starters.

I bought one, and didn't have any difficulty in fitting it (well no more so than you'd expect). Turns the engine over like a dream.
