Found this Lovely Enameled Front Badge , had forgotten all about it.
its from my 1960s TVR GRANTURA Resto project that i owned in the Early 1980s . Thinking i will fit it to the Griff.
I Bought a job lot of Spares for the Grantura at the time and i have several of these Badges. In my opinion its far more stylish than the plain TVR Letters. Why they changed from this Early style of Badge is beyond me.
What do you think guys ?

Its got me thinking how much i regret selling my 61 Grantura.
I even managed to contact her first "real gent" owner and i had a great chat to him. He still had a great Colour photo of her which i have somewhere. When i sold her she went to Oz or New Zealand as i beleive a doner Chassis for another Grantura.
I Have taken a pic of the badge on my Griff next to the orig Griff badge and the old one just looks streets ahead of the modern one. The old one is a great design, Why they changed it lordy knows.

Hi neutral3 I would love a photo of the said Grantura. I would be interested to confirm if it is one of the two cars in NZ. One of which is definitley a 61.

Hi CRM , i have a couple of photos of her, one taken in 61 or 62 , when she was a pretty light Metalic Blue, the second taken in the mid 80s, when her body had been drastically modified with Gull wing doors and a diferent front and rear end.
She was Originally powered by a Ford 100E Engine. An Mga twin cam was optional. Her UK reg no. was XET 604 if my memory is correct.
My pal and me removed/cut off the body which was scrap. Leaving just a rolling Chassis and i well remember her Healey Finned Brake Drums. I sold her in 1986 ? to a youngish( well he was then) relative of a senior figure at Jaguar, Possibly Walter Haynes ? who wanted to use her chassis as a doner for another Grantura. He told me he was def going to ship her to either N.Z. or OZ.
I Would love to know where she is now. Does she sound familier ?
Re photos, my ex horror of a wife has them, in an album with many of the other cars i have owned. if i can get them back ( unlikely) i will put them on here.
