Paul you are a star thank you for the heat shield and also your very enthusiastic help with the rest of the air intake pipes etc. I took my hoover pipes off today and replaced them with all my new bits (including your shield), the difference to performance is incredible as well as just running so smooth now. It was also running hotter than it should before the bits went on, it now seems to be running 10 degrees cooler, thank you. I would love to get it back on the rolling road now and see how much it would beat the 293 HP it posted on Saturday.

Hi Paul,

Good to see youy at my first show, thanks for the shield I'll hopefully fit it this weekend.
Only had it 4 days and I'm adding a mod already.
If it does nothing else it will protect the MAF from the heat.

Made one for my Chimaera - but made it to run the complete length of the inlet pipe, with a little lip under the elbow - the idea to stop the whole induction pipe and AFM being heated.

Got my heat shield and have been trying to fit the trim round the edge; there must be a trick to it as it keeps coming off when I try and put it round the corners (particularly those where there are 2-3 together) so what is the trick? Heat the trim up or what? Has anyone else succeeded with it or is it a smooth the edges and fit it without??

Later - I'd PM'd Paul to ask about this and he says to heat the rubber trim and put a little super glue on it and then its easy.
