Any guidance if possible to recalibrate my speedo car 97 Griff. I,ve put in recon GKN diff with 3.77 ratio so speedo is about 14% out.
By the way 3.77 ratio diff not advised on SC500 but the throttle reponse and drive is dynamite boy does this car go. un fing beleivable.
My old diff (ratio 3.31:1) is repairable most wear is on in put drive shaft coupling.
cheers

No when i arrived the young lad Mick who does the suspension set up was in the car with Richard. Richard went a long to give extra ballast and also to give Mick a bit of confidence driving the beast. Later My mate took it for a spin who does a lot of track days in Ferraris and Nobles with Wordsworth from Blackburn and Classic Rallying and he reckons the Griff will beat them up to 100mph
So i like the 3.77 Diff you located in Waddington.
Much depends on whether you stick with the diff ratio Jim.. You wouldn't want to be having the speedo re-calibrated every time you changed diff ratios?
You could consider moving the trigger wheel to the driveshaft ala BTR diffs. Probably better is to talk to CAI and have your speedo upgraded to one of the later models which I believe you can program via dip switches, which would at least enable you to quickly calibrate if you have any changes of mind on the diff ratios?

David the car is now sorted as far as i,m concerned i have also acquired another 3.31 GKN Diff which reuires new bearing seals etc so I,ll have 2 spare Diffs, the car is nothing but very very quick Ian who test drives all types TVR says its the quickest he,s driven of any type. I will have it RR i know you may think me stupid but the Clutch change out and the diff transformed the car , the clutch was definetly slipping and getting progressively worse but it was not slipping when i RR,d the car. I will do the cam myself check it out. Give us a clue on speedo CAI ( not good at 3 ltr abbrv) as the upgrade option sounds the way to go.
My accelerator was always sticky for first initial movement, new cable etc so had a look and found that you can adjust the elevation on the pedal end cable bracket theres a quadrant slot did that now thats sorted. Still tends to stall wonder if thats down to lazy speedo maybe change the unit that amps the pick up sensor no sxensor is clean cabling good and gap correct. But i stil like the idea of making a toooth wheel to handle the new drive ratio can get it made up at work just need a pattern etc.
