FFS Quinny I hope I don't drive in the other direction to you on a warm summers night as your ghostly mug is lit up wih 2 x Blue LED's

Have you tried it at night yet ? They're bright as anything. I took out the blue LED's I had as dash lights cos they were too bright for me and replaced them with amber. I have a low output flashing red LED in the cowl which is partially hidden behind the steering wheel arm as it faces me, so I can check it easily and it's enough to warn me without being too obvious.

Also, has David managed to connect it in such a way as it avoids the generator 'windmilling' effects of the fans when being driven ? I think that would mean connecting it on the supply side, rather than in line (or something that someone will correct me on further down the page) I didn't when I fitted mine so I get a low constant light at speed which is different from the output when they are actually on, being a constant slow flash full emission.

Really useful to have, especially queuing a Goodwood on Friday in the heat. Dad's Chimaera every year, once a year seems o chuck it's water out and ran really hot going into Goodwood and we need to retro fit a light to his. With the Emerald I have the 2 stage cooling, and only have the LED on for when the second fan cuts in. Have you sorted yours for the full speed only, or is on both as depending on the temp you put it on at those blue LED's could be on a lot

I agree with Johnno, seems even the low intensity blue LEDS are very distracting! I mistakenly used a hi-intensity blue LED for my main beam - OUCH, and even after swapping it for a low-intensity it was still rather too bright really so I dabbed some black paint over it

Its a bit of a faff J, but wiring the positive side of the LED to the fan motor +, and the negative side to the relay switched ground (otter switch to relay or ecu to relay) is the only sure way of getting feedback that all your fuses etc are switching the fans. Not such a big deal if you run 2 small gauge wires from the LED back to the fusebox/loom area?

I've got a little blue light that flashes on my phone in the company car and it really gets on my wick. I have to put the windscreen duster things over the phone. Evemn the dash lights in the Griff get on my nerves sometimes - tried turning them off but that is mega scary.
