SPEEDO TRANSDUCER, which??? plus FALSE READING....????

Since i bought my second griff the speedo hasnt worked properly, the milometer works fine but the speedo is slow when its showing around 19mph, the car os doing 30mph and so on, does anyone know the proper speedo transducer i should be buying as i have been told there are so many for the LT77 box, inc 4 pulse and 8 pulse versions???????

Hi. I needed to change the speedo transducer on my Griff last year. You're right, there are 4-pulse and 8-pulse for the LT77 gearbox. I believe the plastic gear wheel is colour-coded. So might be worth taking off the old transducer at the gearbox and seeing what colour you have. From memory red/brown gear is an 8-pulse I think. Mine is 8-pulse and they are hard to find...

you need a 8 pulse , they seem not to do them any more, tvr car parts said they can get them changed
from 4 to 8
