£32k Griff SE Sold

I see a certain Dealer in the South has sold their SE for circa £32k. Good for them, they've been generally undervalued for a while and now looks like Griffs really are starting to climb in value.

So, this sets a new benchmark, I wonder when we'll see the first £35k Griff up for sale?

Has to be good news for any current Griff owner.

Was about to say 'are you sure' as they still have the blue one at that price, but it seems the grey one is gone. Griffs seem to be doing rather well !

I think you will find that certain dealer has stockpiled a few cars that are not for sale at the moment, expect to see them released over the next few months

They purchased SE No 100 back in March - how much will that be up for now that the £32k benchmark has been set?

The problem they are going to have is that anyone with an good condition or SE Griff is going to demand top money if they want to add it to their stock. It's not as if they can just walk away and find another because a quick look at the classifieds shows there isn't much in the way of low mileage/top condition cars. I don't mean to insult anyone who is currently selling, but the bulk of cars are not in the same condition as the ones sold by Fernies. Fernies are going to make a good profit in the short term, but ultimately all they're doing in the long term is increasing the amount of cash they need to spend in order to maintain their margins.

The problem is always that they need a bit spending on them to keep them good, but also they are wasted if they aren't driven. Mine will never be worth £32k as it has now done 45k miles, even though I am spending money on retrimming, regular maintenance and planning a respray next year.
Regrets? Never. I'd rather have a car that is worth 10 grand less than I paid for it, but have the glorious memory of every one of the 26,000 miles I have done in it since I bought it. What is the point of a 9 year old car with less than 8,000 miles on the clock?
