Silicone hose kit recommendation please.

I `ve tried the search engine here but it has a technical problem just now.

I wish to replace the hoses on a 1995 serpentine Griff , which , from the owners point of view , would be the best quality package on sale and from where can I purchase online. ?

Anyone bought the induction hoses elsewhere? Seems a lot of money for a reducing elbow and a length of pipe...

Reducing hardly,it's a bit more involved than just 2 hoses

Well don't keep me in suspense the AFM to plenum elbow looks like 76 to 72 with 200mm legs and the filter to AFM looks like just over a meter of 76mm tube.

The filter to AFM has got a few bends in it.

Is it a one piece moulding or are there joins?

Both pieces have got bends in them. In my opion they make quiet a bit of difference , for not a lot a wonga

Depends on whether you are talking about the induction kit or the coolant hose kit.
The coolant kit is pretty reasonable,but I think the induction is a bit pricey. Then again when I priced up indivudual silicon hoses that i bought when installing my Supercharger kit and it soon became naff'n expensive. Especially as you have to buy the straight stuff in metre lengths

Big advantage to making up your induction hose set is that you can change the routing etc. Wasn't it you that put yours through under the headlight Hamish?

I've moved mine to under the LH headlamp (as have many others I'm sure), just using the original bendy pipe, now wrapped in ali tape with an extra bit of heatshield material where it's nearest the exhaust. Fresh air is drawn in from in front of the rad, where my car already had a hole through to the cavity under the headlamp (not sure if they all do). I did buy a smooth silicon elbow though.

Yep the original setup is hideously restrictive on the air supply...mine has a polished alu bend imediately befor the AFm into the inner wing so no heat issues either and it allows me to get two big K&N filters down there nder the light pod, as one ain't enough for my intake ( i did have to enlarge the whole from the nosecone into the inner wing to ensure good air supply...


Trouible is it also aloud access for a rodent to make a nest in one of my air filters hence latest engine rebuild

Ive used their hoses as well, but theres a place in Sutton-in-Ashfield that makes up all sorts of ally pipes very reasonably.
