Anyone owned their Griff nearly 13 years ?

£30,593.74...of that £7499.36 was hire purchase charges. !!
Slightly off the original question...but...if you paid £23,000 for that 13 years ago (plus finance charges), and it's a 500 (and it certainly looks like one) then work out you depreciation over the time you've had it...
It's probably worth a conservative £15,000 today without knowing it's condition etc. so you've only 'lost' £8,000 in 13 years...or look at it another way, £615.38 per year...or 2.68% of it's purchase price for every 12 months you've had it.

PS. You have to ignore the finance charges because they were not the cost of the car, but were the cost of the money borrowed to buy the car which is a different thing altogether...

There just isn't anything out there that grabs my attention....at least not without adding a nought to the figure.
Even the Nisson GTR whilst a great car, by the time its affordably to me it will look very dated, whereas the Griff will always look

You really should give it a try. The track's where the Griff comes alive. Nothing quite like exiting The Chicane at Goodwood and giving it full chat up the start/finish straight.BTW Harry's a distant relative.

You're winning on the multi-Griff ownership stakes, but mikial has it as a single Griff owner.
Bought my 1994 Grif 500 in April 1998 for just under £28k IIRC. It's just gone in the classifieds this week, after just over 12 years of ownership. That's by far the longest I've owned any vehicle. When I bought it I thought "I'll just keep it the usual 3 years, and then change up to something else." But I soon realised it has so much character that I'd find it hard to give up. 12 years later I've finally made the decision, and it's a wrench. My girlfiend cried when we sold her MG, but I'm a guy - no, really, I just got something in my eye 
RichB , 39k sounds more like it, the previous owner of my 98, told me that it was HR-Owen Londons Demo Griff and that he paid around 39k for it in April 1998. A colossal sum of money.
I am still unsure what extras it has or hasnt got, but it has got Magnolia half leather,( which i really dislike, would love to re-trim it in Red) Starmist Pearl Blue paint( which i love ) and Air Con ( Standard Fit ?) but the spec is no where near as good as my much missed Feb 96 first Griff, which i was told had every extra available ?, inc Full Doe skin Leather,inc the Dash, different and far far better/more suportive seats, with pump up lumbar adjustment (still unsure what car they were from ? as i havnt seen them in another TVR) Heated Seats and Mallard Pearl Blue/Green Paint (a superb colour ) I really hope Herman the German is looking after her as well as i did.
