TVR pre-cat recommendation

Hi All,

I'm looking to make another quest into TVR ownership having owned a Taimar years ago, but I've always hankered after a Griff.
So I'm hoping fellow Pistonhead / TVR enthusiasts amongst you may know of, or could recommend a 4.0 Pre-cat Griff in v.good condition (especially the chassis).

I would of liked a 500HC but the higher price is hard to get past HTMBO.
Besides I like the pre-cat sound and if I have change from 10k I can spend in on any servicing etc.

Best bet is get yourself to the Growl next weekend where you will be able to see the biggest selection of Griffs anywhere in the world in one place, and one or two maybe for sale. You'll be able to see all sorts of colour combo's and mods which may help you secure your choice.

I've got a Taimar too but there isn't really any comparison.

I've decided to go for a pre-cat Griff and put a deposit on one this week.
Can't wait to pick it up on Friday.

I'm only in Leamington so if I clear it with SWMBO I could get to the Growl at Ettington Park on Saturday.

Well done, that'll be another Pre-Cat owner on PH in the Midlands.

You now need to look up The Buttie Run for somewhere to aim for on those early Sunday mornings when you just want to drive somewhere. I've been a few times and its well worth it just for the breakfasts let alone the wild cars and trucks that turn up.
