When you pop the boot on a 98 Griff, should the gas strut open it fully or is the strut just to hold it open ? Mine just lifts about half an inch from the closed position.

Just pops enough to open it, sadley, would be good if it opened all the way and then when you get in the 160mph wobble you could pop teh boot for extra downforce

hmmmn, now there's a thought :scratchchin; a clip on boot spoiler that fits snuggly to the lid profile in a similar style to a hood cover

BB I'm pretty sure that Ffyffes already do one of those - I've probably used too many Fs there but you can always take an F off!

You have to lift the boot up about a foot before the gas struts take over. But IIRC the S boot pings right up. Hurrah!
