Air in fuel line?

When cornering hard, there is sometimes a hissing noise from near the passenger door sill.

Sounds like air being drawn through the fuel pipe, but I dont know if the fuel pipe runs near there.

It doesnt seem to cause any problems on the road but I'd be interested if anyone knows what this noise it.

Once, on a tight and long corner on a track, the car died, seemingly through fuel starvation, but never on the road.

Any ideas?

Check out all your fuel system as your fuel filler, pump and filter are all on the passenger side. Sounds like the hissing maybe coming from your fuel filler releasing pressure. Does your car have cats ?? and therefore all the extra pipework for the breather system etc. Any problems within the fuel system maybe causing fuel starvation hence the poor running.

Could be something as simple as running too low on fuel. The sideways G forces what little fuel is there away from the pickup and hence the problem.
