The exterior window seals between the top of the door and the glass on my car are perished. I've got some new ones cut to length but not sure of the best way to fit them. It appears as though when the window is fully open the the glass still doesnt drop fully below the seal so I cant get access to it. Does this mean the door trim and glass have to come out to replace the seal? Or perhaps I can use the height adjustment screw to lower the glass a bit more and thus gain access? I cant really see how the seal is actually seated, does it sit in a channel like the targa seals, or is it glued, or both?
Any help appreciated. Its a 92 Griff btw - I dont know if newer ones are the same or not.

i have a 2000 griffith and one of the window seals slid down into the door so the window started to rattle , i found you have to take the door inner panel off to replace the seals ,in the book it says something like two internal bolts holding the panel on but mine had four or five its just a case of arm into the speaker hole and just be very carefull checking for bolts along the bottom, if the panel does not come off easy (you push it up to release the top its hooks over the top of the door) go back and check for more bolts.But when you slide the new seal in i would recomend you clean the channel it sits in and smear some evostick or similar into the lower couple of inches to secure the seal and stop it slideing down as mine did , ive had no problem since i did mine its not a difficult job just a bit time consuming good luck.
