MIG welding precautions on Griff

I need to perform a small weld on the Griff,I'm pretty handy with a MIG but worked on mainly older classics with no electronics to worry about. I normally disconnect the battery and the back of the alternator for safety, do I need to disturb things like the ECU? Normally reluctant to disturb the connectors in there but dont want to fry anything. What do the outrigger boys do? Any advice gratefully received.

just sick with the basics....battery .alt.& of course cross your finger are standard procedure,,,

I also disconnect the ECU at the large plug .. pays to be safe from spikes.

also drain and flush the fuel tank if you want to weld a leak
