Griff going warp factor...

well not quite.

It is Friday night I was bored and went for a drive with my camera attached to the front of the Griff and using the remote I took these. I kept thinking of trying this, so tonight I did.

Makes a slightly different photo.



and




I had a lot of odd looks from other drivers wondering what the hell was stuck to the front of the car.

I am in there. It was a 15 second exposure and I used a remote shutter release.

I must try it again on a road with different lighting.

I attached the camera to the front of the car using a suction camera mount that I normaly stick to the inside of the car window to mount my camcorder. This time I wanted to see what would happen with a long exposure with the camera outside of the car at about 70MPH.

I am glad you liked them. I am also glad it did not fall off the car and break the camera, but it seems to stick on very well indeed.

Very good and unusual pictures there . I'm sure Derek at 'Sprint' would be interested, particulary if you go a bit slower and get a crisper image next time.

Thanks Karen.

I was not too worried, I attached the camera mount about an hour before I went for a drive and it did not move, or indeed I could not pull it off, so I thought it would be safe and I used the small camera.

All in all I am quite pleased with the experiment.

I Know what you mean. On the roads around here with the irregular surfacing, long exposures are a problem. There is obviously some flex in the way I mounted the camera, but I will have another go with a differing mounting technique, proberbly involving neoprene and lots of tape.
