Would you pay this price for this?

Lets start with the advert and some history:

The car is advertised for £9,980, which I thought would be worth a quick visit whilst I'm visiting relatives in Glasgow.
I went into the garage and met with a friendly salesman (name I cannot recall) and asked to view the car. On first glance the car looks just as good as the photos suggest. Then I notice that it's tucked far into one corner away from view and standing under a leaking roof causing quite alot of water to fall onto the bonnet.
The salesman left me alone with the car after explaining that they had bought it back off the previous owner as he moved to Portugal and had no use for it, they also originally sold the car to that owner, it has service history and a ticket but no tax but can be arranged at a sale.
After being left alone with the car I decided to have a good look round. The outriggers are rusty and look like they haven't been waxoiled for a long time (2 years at a guess). The interior carpet in the footwell is falling apart and coming away from the carpet grips on the side wall under the door. It will definately need a retrim. The engine is quite dirty and unfortunately I was unable to see it running whilst I visited so the condition I'm unsure. The paintwork is probably the best part about the car, only a small amount of stone chips on the front and small scrape under the nose (about 2 inches) which is not really noticeable.
There is service history, however, it is not full, there is a big gap between 2003 and 2006 and the MOT's only run back two years which confirm the mileage.
Due to the location of the car a test drive was not possible due to my time limit, however, even with a test drive I believe the price is a bit high.

If it's any help that car has been for sale for a very long time I am sure last time I saw it on Ebay it was up for over 12k. It sounds a little unloved and for that kind of money I think I would look elsewhere for something that has proper history ideally with a stack of recent bills.
As ever buy on condition and all that unless of course a very cheeky offer could be made to justify taking a gamble...

I've been looking on the classifieds and there is another two that have caught my eyes, one of them was only a few miles from the one above, however, the advert was placed the day after I got back 
Learning from previous expierence, I'm definitely ain't buying the first one I see so more viewings and possibly attendance to some local meets are in order!

LG's car is a cracker, can't believe it's not sold before now.
A very well cared for car with all the right bits done. You can't go far wrong with that car, especially at that price. Grover what are you doing man
