100 Amp fuse

Having just replaced the 100amp fuse under the engine with a new one from Mr Heath.
and spent a few moments looking at the sump trying to undo rusty bolts. The Thought came to me, Has any one moved the fuse to a different location so you can get to it without having to jack the car up.

I keep hearing about the 100a fuse. Just taken the body off my griff but didnt come across a fuse in the said place. Where`s mine, in the passenger footwell maybe, or do i not have one. Its a `92 pre cat.

They only started fitting them 94/95 in an attempt to raise service revenues

If the alt has wiring across the Vee you can remove the starter to alt section. Then charging back into the cabin means the alt fuse can be located in the footwell, typically very late cars did this as well as another 100A fuse battery to fusebox and the big red cable to the starter just becomes a dead end spur.
