Wax Oil Frequency

What is the recommended interval for wax oiling the chassis? Car is garaged and only used on dry days. Was done 12 months ago. Should it be done annually?

Hi, you can probably get away with once every two years if you only use the car infrequently, else once every year and a half is a good gauge to use.

It's the one I do after advice from various garages.

If your car is garaged and only used on dry days I don't really see any need to waxoyl at all

Heh, that's definitely true. In my case, "dry days" are few and far between in the Winter months, so I play safe and get her done - "just in case"

The stuff does wash off slowly in wet conditions, and it does dry out and goes hard and white over a long period. A quick visual check is all you need, it its still nice and waxy and not gone rock hard its fine. If anywhere seems to be dry id give it another coat

Mine is not garaged and is used throughout the winter so I get mine done once a year.
