Boot Light , Glove Box Light

Were any cars fitted with an Interior Boot Light ? Very frustrateing at night, cant see a ruddy thing in there and cant beleive on a 39 Grand car , TVR never fitted one.

Any one fitted one and also footwell and glove box lights ?

My Griff has a passenger footwell light but not boot or glovebox. Never thought about it.

Same here passenger footwell ,, You could easy nick a live off that & stick one in the glove box if required. The boot you could take a live feed of side lights for one in the boot..
It would only work with side light on but you wouldnt need it in the daytime anyway,,,,,,,,,

David Beer was going to sell me a strip of LED lights for the boot, but I think other things kind of took his time so it never arrived.

If you solder half a dozen white LEDs together, attach to a piece of fabric with the hard loop part of a piece of velcro on the back and wire them to your number plate light you have a light in the boot which you can stick anywhere on the carpet.

If you have one of the earlier cars where the number plate lights aren't carpeted over you can easily change the bulbs to brighter LED type festoon bulbs which are far more directional. Then you have 2 bulbs which if you swivel them around provide loads of light in the boot.

Note: in fact you should swap the bulbs anyway or you risk a fire with the hot normal bulbs being pushed against whatever flammable clothing or camping gear you might stuff in the boot

You could easily connect to the targa interior light wiring in the N/S B post area, the wiring could then go into the boot are to supply a boot light.

We've got 2 boot lights (one on each side) velcro'd to the carpet above each rear light. From David Beer.
