GKN Diff

Thanks to Spend ( whom told me that these diffs have Quaffie internals) i now have 2 spare Griff Standard ratio me thinks 3.3:1 GKN diffs with good crown and pinions. Were can i get rebuild kits for them, bearings, seals etc.
One diff has wear on the input shaft coupling spline i beleive that the crown and pinions are not any more manfr.
but maybe the other parts are available whom best to contact

Try Grantura engineering, Poulton-Le-Fylde. Lancashire. Google it they have a website. Ive heard them mentioned on here before.

Give John reid a call, he shouldn't be too far away from you, probably about 40 miles.

So are you going back to 3.3 then Jim?

Bernie Gearboxman and Dave Porter also do the diffs and may supply parts. If you are going to do the work yourself you may find some of the bearings & seals are generally available at bearing specialists. AFIK on rebuild many will replace the limited slip bits which are the Quaiffe stuff (Bernie likely does more business with them - whether his discount is passed on I don't know though?).

Quite happy with the 3.7 diff but need to be sensible ( fuel consumption etc) and will overhaul both diffs with help and guidance.
I,ll check regards seals and bearings with local Bearings Factor as you suggest thanks for the heads up
