blanking piece for dashboard

I want to block the hole where the radio was, any ideas? I seem to remember someone fitted a merc. "cubby hole" type thing but no info. on model, any help appreciated, cheers, John.

I've got twin a coin tray from a Saab which is roughly about the right size.

I'll measure it and you can have it FOC if it will fit John.

Thanks Ian, my other half is sick of looking at wiring; doesn't bother me but as she is very forgiving with my car obsession I feel obliged to finish the dash at least!

Plywood is easy to cut to size! Or that expanding foam stuff builders use to fill gaps
