Need my heater panel fixing

Hi people ive just replaced my dash for a new levens one and have replaced all the heater panel leds as one of the triangular ones didnt work,problem is now only 3 out of the 11 light up and the ones that dont work are showing a 12+ volt feed, unlike the working ones that show 2.5 volts?

Cant think how ive buggered them up so any help would be greatly received?

Unlike ordinary filament bulbs the LED's are polarity sensitive are you sure you have connected them the correct way round? The +12volt suggests they are not conducting and thus incorrectly connected.

Think your right so how can i tell which way round they go?
And are they knackered now?

The LEDs will have one lead slightly longer than the other or a kink in one lead, look at the lit ones that will tell you the correct way to connect them. Just reverse the unlit ones. LEDs are basically pretty diodes that need to be conducting to give off light. Reverse connections should not harm them. Lucky this time, eh!
