2 Pack or Powder paint for wheels?

What’s the consensus of opinion here?... I want to re-furb my wheels this winter but not sure which paint to go for?... I can get powder coating done including shot blasting for £1 per inch (so £15 for the fronts etc)… and £2 per inch in fancy paint… But was also looking at some 2 pack options yesterday… and they have some nice paints also?.. cost about £30 per wheel but on top of old paint?
I have made some Ali wheel centers so I can take either option…
Any thoughts on which is best?

Looking at having mine done,where in Yorkshire did you get the costs from..they seem very resonable?

At that price i would personally shot blast and powder coat them.

I have been refurbing wheels for years ,, Nothing wrong with 2 pack.
There are a couple of firms which will collect your take them away & do the complete job.
One of them is called LEPSOMS based at Gillingham kent & the other is spit & polish, both companys have been running for years...charging about 45/50 per wheel

It's a company called CAS powder coating in Eccleshill. Bradford... they do a real nice job and cheap as chips...
I may even leave the ctr's as polished Ali... just wax them?... I'll take a pic.. see what people think..

Cheers Stuart... may look at this also... but not that close...

I wondered whick paint was best for putting tyres over etc.. if one became brittle over time etc?...

Paint will give a far better finish. The other problem with powder coat is that when it gets chipped or cracked the water gets underneath it and it comes off in lumps. Paint adheres better to the wheel, though is probably more chip prone.

Personally I'd go for paint if you want a quality job.

Mmmm may be.. but powder is used in some very exposed applications.. the chassis for example?
Why didn't they 2 pack this?..

Is it.. fair point then.. so I'll have them 2 pack coated including the plastic centres and have a set of polished Ali ctr's for special occasions
